Re: Feet Problems--

Hi ,

First, my daughter left Japan in April, and is in Wisconsin now. I'd

forgotten you were there, but certainly the ready availability of

acupuncture is a boon.

I may have spoken too soon about the acupuncture not completely helping, as

I was suffering a huge increase in pain after the last treatment (two days

ago) before I wrote that post. As often seems to happen with acupuncture

for me, the effect a day later is dramatic--the pain is mostly gone! I've

also been using the peppermint oil, which I theorize gave me immediate

release from the pain enough to relax, sleep and heal.

Now, to see if it stays gone.

As for the acupuncture for GD, I am interested to hear how he's treating

you. Japanese acupuncture is a bit different than Chinese, of course-but my

husband feels that the herbal meds are more important for my GD than the

needles, so I'm curious to see what happens with your treatment. The distal

points (legs for neck, and hand for feet etc.) make total sense to me.

Finally, I agree that my immune system has been weakened lately. I have had

a horrible cold, the first summer cold I have ever gotten and the first cold

in several years altogether, and I am under major stress right now, probably

more than at any time in the last 5 years. I am exhausted, quite honestly,

and wish I could just take a vacation from everything, but I can't as all

the things causing me stress are just coming to a point of resolution over

the next weeks (I hope).

I have been eating well, exercising moderately and resting plenty--except

for when the foot pain has kept me up--and taking my vitamins, ATD's and

herbs, too. Not sure what more I can do for the moment, unfortunately.

Life goes on!

Hi, ,

Glad I could help. I've seen two podiatrists myself with much the same

symptoms as Neuroma, but I'm not convinced entirely, plus I don't want cortizone

shots and orthotic inserts (I'm not THAT old!) so I'm seeing a chiropractor. I

have a bulging disc and I've read that disc problems can sometimes result in

foot pain.

Anyway, let me know how the acupuncture goes.
