With our son he went through phases of foods that he never ate before and suddenly got 'addicted to'. This included cashews and grapefruits. Before the diet I remember we noticed certain 'adult foods' that he couldn't get enough of, like olives (yuck, my wife likes em too) and pickles. Seemed weird for a 3 yr old which was his age back then. Somewhere in those first few months though he started eating meat, and in general not only a better variety of foods but also started filling out. We used to see his ribs, and his weight was below the chart. Now he's on the chart and looks to be just a perfect weight for his size. >Anybody fry with olive oil? Just sounds a little odd to me. For frying, keep the heat down a bit so it doesn't burn maybe... but we've been using it for frying for years in our house. It's gotten cheaper the last few years, I think my wife gets a 3 qt container in the supermarket (Hannaford or Walmart or GU) for less than $15 now, not sure though about that.
