I have been reading a lot lately about mold infestation in homes, People

Magazine, Los Angeles Times Paper, and friends. Often, we do not see this

insidious stuff, as it is in the drywall, under wallpaper, etc., not just

visible in the bathroom, etc. Certainly, rugs are cuprits also. I have read

some accounts that it can cause cognitive problems and delays in young

children. I have a friend in the L.A. area who had a leaky pipe under the

house, and this turned out to be a major renovation involving removing mold

through 3/4 of the house( a move out ), at tremendous expense (and fighting

insurance companies also). Has anyone had any problems with mold, I am

considering having my home checked, living near the beach. Anyone know any

good environmental folks in the Los Angeles or better, the South Bay area?

Thanks, Z.
