OT: Finally can focus on getting her better!

Our legal battle with the school district was finally settled yesterday! We

were scheduled to take them to court this Thurs. and Fri. and they settled with

us finally. We are so pleased! We got her whole ABA home program (15 hrs per

week) and her ABA shadow aid at pre-school (9 hrs per week) through the whole

summer! We had to compromise on speech therapy but they paid us enough

reimbursement money to pay for speech for the summer too. We have paid for all

of her assessments and therapy ourselves to this point. We borrowed from family

to do that, so now can pay everyone back. Thank God! We made no money on this

deal...just broke even, but got her the help she needs.

It is so nice to have this awful battle behind us! Now we can focus on getting

her better. And I can start focusing on the diet again. We have continued it

but it has been hard to focus on it, and I've used a lot of pre-packaged food to

get us through this.

I just wanted to share our good news! Oh, anyone need the name of an awesome

Special Ed. lawyer in Northern California? He is the father of a 6 year old
