Guest guest
Hi Lori, I don't have the knowledge to comment definitively on your levels when pregnant, but I do know from many posts here that you should not be allowed to go so close to hypO when you are pregnant, as it can cause problems. I'm surprised that you have someone monitoring you who is relying on TSh only, when it can affect the health of your baby. I. should be a great help--put her name in the subject line. She's a nurse and has been through a couple of pregnancies too. Guest guest
Lori, How are you feeling? You are taking a total of 150mg/day, right? If it were me (and this is a lay person's opinion), I would reduce to 100mg; maybe do 125 for a day or two and then reduce to 100. Best to re-test in 2 weeks, and if FT4 is low, then consider reducing again. If I get pregnant, I will insist on being monitored every 2 weeks. You may be able to wean off the PTU, as you are in the later part of your pregnancy. Anyway, I believe you are correct in your thinking. Trust yourself, and use your judgment.
