Guest guest
I hope you are right Colleen. I am scared every single day. Please see the archives. Yes, we are headed in the right direction but what the hell is going on in his body? Is it healing fast enough to keep up with these exorcisms. I was always a pretty religious person in the sense that I went to church and prayed but was not the type to even talk about what I still think to be a very private thing. In fact I was not one to talk about my son, this stuuff, etc. I was never one to ask for help..ever. This thing has changed everything but in the end I don't even understand it all. I do pray a lot and I so hope that I am doing the right thing. When I had these babies it was " no man's land. " I felt so much love for them and yet I was terrified that I would do something wrong by accident. That feeling is back but it does come with the feeling that I am meeting my children, who they really were all along but could not express, for the very first time. Please get this book. It really will make you see that doing the medical without therapy really is like taking a flat tire off a car and not replacing it yet expecting the car to drive. > > thanks. Guest guest
I am smack in the middle of Dr. Bock's 4 A's book. This book is, in my opinion, an essential read for anyone with a kid with any one of the 4 A's : Autism, Allergies, ADHD and Asthma. My only complaint is I want him to update it and add the fifth A...apraxia. Our kids are in this book though. You can see it if you read it. I have been down for a good 2 weeks and this book gives me great hope. That and the fact that the regression that stole my son's kisses is over and we have them back. Guest guest
Agreed. Dr. Bock was a speaker at the Atlanta NAA (National Autism Association) conference. Which I highly recommend - all the big DAN! were there speaking. We learned so much. I've never met a more humble group of " real people " medical professionals. My husband and I couldn't get over how approachable they ALL were. And they were the big guns ie. Bradstreet, Rossignal, Usman, Bock... yacking it up in the elevators, open to discuss your particular kids quirks etc. Liz, your post reminds me of one of the first idiot Dr.'s (who was on the DAN! list - but certainly NO DAN for political reasons - but gladly took the apt and charged 340.00 for NOTHING). I digress. I was really green back then, searching for answers. He looked me straight in the face and laughed at the " Apraxia " label being the " new " label du jour. His next sentance " you kid does not have Autism " in the most condescending manner. What a creep. There is some truth in that, but people want labels so labels are born. I just deduced that " apraxia " is really a lesser form of (what they are calling) Autism so I focused all my attention on the Autism biomedical recovery protocal. No one wants to call it what it is. Heavy metal toxicity. They all have it in varying degrees, thus the continium. Did you know that ADHD is on " The Spectrum " . It is. I've noticed that many biomedical Docs are including the apraxia " label " on their litature because more kids are getting this " new " label du jour. It makes sense... The CDC only recommend taking out the whollap dose of mercury in vaccines in 1999 (as apposed to clearing the shelves a la Tylenol- we all remember that one). Vaccines have a long shelf life - up to 05. Lessen the toxic load gradually decreases = less severe cases of toxicity > new labels are born. It is, what it is... I use heavy metal poisening and Vaccine Injury. Liz, I always read your posts. > > I am smack in the middle of Dr. Bock's 4 A's book. Guest guest
Let's not forget that vaccines aren't the only source of toxins -- the environment, the food supply, the amalgam fillings in our teeth, and on and on. They may have taken thimerosal out the vaccines, but that has not been a cure-all -- autism and other spectrum disorders are still on the rise. What I don't understand is why no presidential candidate (mainstream or fringe, Republican, Democrat or Independent) has not broached the this topic. We are ALL paying for this problem -- higher insurance premiums, higher school taxes, and more future adults who may not be able to support or care for themselves without government assistance. Even if they were heartless (they're not), you would think the financial costs would spur the candidates to propose some solutions. in NJ
Guest guest
Thank you for writing this, ! It's good to hear someone else is thinking the same thinks as I once in a while. We are also doing the protocol - actually Stan Kurtz' protocol. Do you plan to attend the DAN! conference in NJ in April? I have Dr. Bock's book but haven't read yet..... Darlene > > Agreed.
