Guest guest
<Sometimes you just have to let things run their course.> Lori, You're absolutely right. It's the parents job to provide healthy food for their children and the child's job to eat it. Even special needs children. I know I've said this before, so those of you who've heard it already, please excuse me. Anyway, studies show that one of the things that asd kids have in common with nt kids is that they will not intentionally starve themselves. However, they will go through periods of obstinance or periods when they just are not all that hungry. If you keep a food diary(which I highly recommend), keep track not only of what your child eats, but how much. What you should see when you plot your data is a line bobbing up and down in the short term, and in the long term, a trend that slowly goes up as your child grows and tends to eat more.
