Extra Info on Walkathon - Please Read

I was so excited to get back from my first MAGIC board meeting to

read the emails from Danita and Jen Briggs. The sad news is that as

of last Friday, only 28 RSS/SGA people had requested Walkathon kits.

Please help. This has got to be the easiest fundraiser you could

ever do. The kit has EVERYTHING you need. 's bib, pledge

sheet, instructions. I even wrote sample " will you sponsor me "

letters and " thank you for sponsoring me " letters that you can cut

and paste. EASY!!!! If your affected child walks, have them draw a

picture or use before knowing MAGIC and after knowing MAGIC photos

(if it was a while).

EVERY FAMILY THAT RAISES $500 OR MORE WILL GET A FREE 2005 MAGIC

MEMBERSHIP. And the top $$ family will receive free hotel and

registration for next's years convention.

The NUMBER #1 complaint I hear all the time from parents is " why

hasn't Dr. Harbison published? " Bottom line, because she is a

practicing endocrinologist with no spare time to write and analyze.

Her hospital isn't going to help her. She has the most incredible

data already partially analyzed. In order to help our children, and

the children to follow ours, we need to hire a writer/statistician

and this takes money!!!! Disorders far rarer than ours raise a

million dollars, and we are looking for $100,000.
