Our DAN! doctor Marvin Boris is out in Woodbury. (We drive 2 hours to see him, but he seems wonderful so far!) We haven't gotten any Dari-free yet. I would've ordered it online if I knew it would be so hard to find locally. Where is the fastest place to get it? Anybody know? Guest guest
> Hi , Ser. book has some sort of honey and almond butter no > bake dessert. Hi there! Karyn calls them Nut Butter Balls and here's the recipe: 1 c nut butter 1/2 c honey 1/2 c DariFree powder. (You can also add flaxseed to these.) Combine until if forms a smooth, soft dough. Add more powder if too oily. Roll into 1-inch balls and coat with shredded unsulphered coconut or sesame seeds, or GF cookie crumbs. Refrigerate. My daughter has texture issues so didn't like these. I think mine turned out too oily. Here's a different recipe that you might be able to adapt. We made it as is and the girls (and my picky husband) loved them! >From Brett's mom Sue: 1 c nut butter 1 c sugar (here, maybe you could use another sweetner and substitute DariFree powder for the dry ingredient part) 1 egg beaten (I'll bet you could substitute this too) 1 tsp vanilla 2 Tbsp. water Combine nut butter and sugar; mix well. Stir in beaten egg (or equivaletn), vanilla, and water. Roll into 3/4 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten wilth a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool before removing from cookie sheet! Oh they turned out so well! Enjoy! H
