Guest guest
Lindsey's had many tics and OCD behavior, sometimes really bad. Right now she is only doing facial grimacing and some odd thing with her body where she tightening her muscles. Genetics DR saw it, and said it was TS, so she's been dx twice I guess. She has always had a nervous hum. Risperdal was wonder drug for her and made her tics go away, all but an eye blinking one. She was actually losing weight (rare for this drug)! So he switched her to Zyprexa which makes her want to eat and ear and eat. I am currently weaning her from this as these drugs just scare me. I may not stop altogether. It does help though, I just don't trust this drug. Are there side effects to the Clonidine? Jennie

Guest guest
<<Are there side effects to the Clonidine?>> That's what they put Jed on and he has only been on 1/2 a tablet at night for 5 nights now. I was told for side effects.. dry mouth, dizzness, tiredness, and in rare cases a rash... I find Jed has to take it early otherwise he is VERY tired the next day. This side effect does get better as they get used to the med. At least that is what I was told. Once he is not as tired we will add another 1/2 in the am.... So far he is still ticing. I am not expecting to see any results till the dose is increased. Mom to Liam (3 1/2 years old 34 3/4 " 27 lbs SGA / possible RSS, Hypothyriod, Epilepsy.) Guest guest
The only side effect we have noted is that the Clonidine can make Max sleepy when we increase it. This goes away with time. That's why we chose this drug. Jodi Z.
