Guest guest
Hey its kim, my rss traits have lessened but funnily enough when we were in chicago most of us rss adults still look similar. I was even mistaken for a 16 years old rss teens mom and i only 26 ,(grin). And when 4 of the rss adults went to Ed debevics restaraunt out witer ( girls remember Rocket boy!!!, Devin) thought we were related. i still have some facial features but i look like a small adult, if you know about rss my curved pinkies are the big give away, still they are a great place to hang your car keys when you're arms are full. It is more pronounced after pregnancy, but it really started about 17 or 18. My face is less triangular, my ears are less sticking out (I used to think I looked like a Vulcan). Only the height hasn't changed. My chin is less pointy. When I look at pictures of myself as a kid, I had all the classic RSS traits, but now I don't think people would even know I have RSS unless I told them, I just look like a really small adult (or a 12 year old) depending on who you ask. Guest guest
Kate- I stopped having " the look " right around puberty and I personally think it started to " go away " even many years before that. When I was at the convention and looked at the really young kids (i.e. younger than 6), I really felt that they looked like when I looked like at their age. I felt less so with the " older " RSS kids. I also don't think that what I look like now really looks like the kids at all. I saw some minor similarities with some of the adults (i.e. our thin lips), but not a whole lot. -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up
Guest guest
What you are describing is very common. Most studies have pointed out that it is almost impossible to diagnose RSS in an adult, unless they have comprehensive medical records for their childhood, and a lot of good photographs. The triangular shaped face begins to disappear as soon as weight is put on, which is why the chin also is less pointy. The forehead always remains a bit prominent.... hee hee.
