Guest guest
Hi Therese. May I assume you're not in the states? (The second O in homoeopathy, auntie) Where are you from? Someone on the list may help you navigate the medical system of wherever you are, though I suspect you won't need much help. I took homeopathic thyroid for the first few months after diagnosis, into treatment. I'm a believer in the efficacy of homeopathy. I've actually slept well for close to a week now after using a suggested remedy for my insomnia (and what I suspect is the underlying cause, not GD) though I do want to schedule a full physical to get to the bottom of this. BUT, I wouldn't rely on homeopathy alone for this. I took it along with Tapazole (the brand name for methimazole, or what's called something like mercazole outside of North America) and am now in remission for 2 years. If you want to go the alternative route, I strongly advise finding a very experienced holistic MD/DO or naturopath. Also, check out Pam B.'s experiences which are linked to the homepage. If you can get hold of Elaine 's book on GD, Graves Disease: A Practical Guide, you'll find extensive treatment on alternatives to allopathic treatment, as well as ways of supporting such treatments such as yoga, acupuncture. Take care, Fay P.S. Are you post-partum by any chance? ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
