I almost opened it, but since my nortons hasnt' been updated yet I was afraid it was probably a virus (and one I don't have on my list) and didn't.. Now I'm GLAD I didn't. When a person becomes infected they will/may not know. The next time they send an e mail, the virus is sent to EVERYONE in their address/contact list. So, someone other than Ross could re-infect people unknowingly. Everyone should update their virus software, then run a virus scan on their computer. Someone posted a while back about a free virus protection programme from Computer Associates. Hope this helps. Pamela Bray UK PS: I have recieved none of these attachments/messages. Guest guest
I have about 8 different emails this Ross has just sent me with a few different viruses attatched to them....we are in the process of contacting authorities to have this taken care of...it is unlawful and illegal to send viruses to others via e-mail Debbie > This person just sent a reply to my e-mail with a different virus > infected attachment. Guest guest
Pamela, Believe me, this person knows EXACTLY what they are doing and they have at least 4 different viruses they are sending me.....they are picking and choosing people to send it to..... Guest guest
BUT, wouldn't be able to type in the mail....plus I haven't received one since I started posting here again and I haven't gotten one from Joyce either. Guest guest
Well, Like I said before...until it is proven to me otherwise...I choose to believe she is doing it on purpose.....after I started this posting, like I said, she stopped sending them to me.....AND she didn't respond to the email I sent directly to her either, which she did BEFORE I started posting on this list.....call me cynical I guess, but I have seen alot of people get affected by viruses from " unknown " users.....and it was found out to be intentional. Guest guest
My point exactly about she/he is picking and choosing the virus to match the mail. > In a message dated 05/31/2001 11:34:32 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > sarahschaffer@y... writes: > > > > This person just sent a reply to my e-mail with a different virus > > infected attachment. Now > I'm GLAD I didn't. I still don't think its intentional on the part of , because the 5 virus infected e-mails that I have received, were all personal replies from a posting to the whole list. The person who replied, has never exchanged e-mail with me personally. What are the chances that two people on this list are doing the exact same thing? a
