Guest guest
>Hi - Thanks for your info. That's a better explanation than I got from the eye doctor. LOL. I guess I will go ahead and start the drops. The stuff he recommended for nighttime was Refresh PM, which I think is an ointment. I haven't heard anyone mention that particular treatment, only the regular Refresh drops, mostly for daytime. Maybe I should try the Refresh for daytime and the Genteal for nighttime, as long as we know it won't adversely affect TED. I find that I just don't trust anything these days. Guest guest
You're welcome, Barb. Refresh is all right. Just don't use anything like medicated Visine. You really can use any brand you like, as different people have different preferences. So it's " whatever works for you. " I find that Genteal is a good brand, and it was recommended to me by the lasik docs. If you are unsure about a product, you can ask the pharmacist or your doctor to clear it with them before you use it (to make sure it is not something that has potentially harmful chemicals, such as for redness removal). Guest guest
Barb, I would just like to emphasize that before trying another brand, you should clear it with the pharmacist or your doctor, just to be safe. (I think I'm telling you the right things, but like I said, I'm just going on my own experience, and wouldn't want to steer you wrong!) Nothing wrong with Refresh, but I just preferred the other brand to it, and some people do well with the gel at night, as it is for severe dry eye. I prefer the Genteal drops, but that is what feels best for me at this time. Good luck, and hope you find the relief you're seeking.

Generally I don't find a lot of difference except it's important to use the gel at night and drops during the day. ly, I buy whatever is on sale and find they are all pretty good.
