I just called Burger King's customer service number,

and was told that their french fries are definitely

GFCF. They stated that they always list any

ingredient used in their products and that wheat is

not used at all in the manufacturing of their french

fries. I had to call and check it out for myself,

because loves BK's fries and has never had a

reaction. Whoever posted that BK's fries are sprayed

with gluten, please let us know where you got that

info so we can clear up the discrepancy and know

without a doubt!

When they first came out eith their new fries a while back, they had added

wheat to the coating mixture, but due to customer complaints of an allergen

added to an otherwise safe item they changed it to cornstarch. But they do

at least here fry them in the oil with the onion rings which are not gf.

My son also loved BK FF. When we started the diet about 6 weeks ago I read

somewhere at that time that the BK fires were not GF. It might have been

the GFCFDiet site, I don't remember. Anyway, I called BK at that time and

was told that the " might " be sprayed with a coating that contained gluten.

This was to keep the FF from sticking. The CS rep. I spoke was not real

specific but she would NOT say they were GF. I also asked about the

possibility of cross contamination and she was specific about the fact that

they DO share frying vats and that gluten containing foods WERE fried in the

same vat as the possibility not GF FF.
