Guest guest
In the US, enzymes are classified as nutritional supplements = " food " , up to a certain level of potency. Creon is a stronger blend of enzymes, and this is a prescription drug even in the US. I think that the British classification might be similar to the American, but I don't know for sure. In Norway, all enzyme blends are classified as " drugs " . All " drugs " have to be registred and approved in Norway, if we want to import them from outside the European Union. Since we haven't found a good " local " product, and have to import from America, we have to get round the registration problem. We do this by applying for " registreringsfritak " , which is an exemption from the prohibition against unregistred drugs. The application is a lengthy thing, that needs to be signed by a doctor who will then be responsible for the use of the " drug " . Luckily, my wife is a doctor, so she can handle the paperwork herself. The authorities don't charge anything for their part of this process. Lastly, when we have got the approval, we have to send it to the Customs people, who charge us for everything including filling in the papers that are needed at their end of the chain. The ideal solution would be to find another European country where these products are classified as nutritional supplements OR where they are registred and legally available. Once a product is purchased for personal use in another European country, we're free to import it into Norway (in quantities that might reasonably be consumed in 3 months). n Klaveness www.advimoss.no www.advimoss.no/GFCF_results www.advimoss.no/GFCF_survey -----Opprinnelig melding----- Fra: kati_marttinen2001@...
