Guest guest
Flights are into JFK or La Guardia. I am typing fast here. Taxi from airports are flat fee, varies $25-50 dollars depending on where, etc. Do NOT rent a car. Hotels. Recommended: 4 star Excelsior is great location if you plan on staying an extra day and doing some sight-seeing. 45 W. 81st St., NYC on the upper west side DIRECTLY across from the Planetarium and the Natural History Museum. Rates $139-$200 depending on time of year and very nice. For ease, but more like 3 star in terms of furnishings, is the Mt. Sinai Guest Residence. But at $169 or something like that you can't beat it. DIRECTLY across the street from Mt. Sinai hospital. Upper east side. Markets within 1 block. And the rooms have mini- kitchens, with frigs, stove, etc. Ideal for kids with breakfast, lunch, etc. For those of us who " fly in and fly out " , I recommend the Mt. Sinai Guest Residence. . Ask for Sonsia to make your reservation. 3 E. 101st St. between 5th and Madison. I believe that the drive is about a 10 hour drive? So that would be very long. Conceivably, although this would be expensive, you could fly in on an early morning flight for a 1pm appt (give yourself 2 hours between arrival time and appt time), take a cab directly to the hospital, have your appt, and then take a 7pm flight back home again, the same day.... Good luck, and keep us posted. > > Now I really need everyone's help. We got a call today that our > insurance will pay 100% of the bill to see Dr. H. We are so > excited!!
