Guest guest
My son with autism 4 1/2, who's been weaned from a pacifier since Feb 2000, with lots of efforts from everyone(was his transition object), has just started getting hold of his bro & sis ones at every chance he gets. I don't know if I ever said this, but he's non verbal (except than one or two words)and, of course-doesn't understand most of the things said to him-that's why I can't wait to start ABA and see improvements- He's been doing it for about a month now and it is getting worse, while he anyway keeps making little improvements at school. He doesn't *understand* NO or STOP THAT, that we say or he just " chooses to ignore it " , so we just keep on taking it away from him every time. Anyway, I know it is a sensory issue, and we are working on that; but has anyone went through this? and if so, what did y'all do about it? Thanks in advance-it is driving me crazy!!- Cristina-WA
