Guest guest
Hi , If you're exposed to allergens and react to them, your immune system is stimulated. Drugs that help block steps in the allergic response like Seldane or nasal steroids prevent or reduce the immune system's reaction. This helps lower antibody production. When your immune system is stimulated, like with a vaccine or exposure to antigens, antibody titers rise. Take care, Elaine
Guest guest
What I've done with NAET and NMT to eliminate allergies is NOT just treating the symptoms - it's reprogramming my immune response to the allergen - food, inhaled, whatever. The leaky gut stuff I did coated my intestines so that the foods I was allergic too wouldn't pass the lining of the walls and let my immune system calm down and heal. Pro-biotics are also supposed to be a huge part of this particular allergy healing program. I can't say how well this worked because it takes at least a year to do and I discovered NAET and NMT before that year is up. What I did for years and years before this to treat the allergy symptoms (claritin, tylenol cold, etc.) I belive just made things worse - drove it deeper and made a bigger mess of my immune system. I don't know what " traditional " ways of dealing with allergies is - other than suppressing them. Pam B. -- Elimination of Triggers for Grave's Hello, I have read, here, I believe, that it is good to treat allergies and eliminate the need for the immune system to produce antibodies against allergies. I get the impression, though, that most treatments for allergies are to relieve symptoms. Is that what is meant by " treating " allergies? Does eliminating the symptoms reduce the amount of antibodies produced against allergens?
