Guest guest
Yep its me again, just wondering about gf/cf and the ice cream truck. See we were at the park and my DS was trying so hard to play and fit in and the other kids were bieng so nice, and then the ice cream man came all the kids were running and Dakota ran too didnt know where he was going but he wanted what every one else was getting, he even got desperate enough to use a sentence and sign it. So of course I caved in I opted for the sno cone. I did try to ask about ingredients but he did not have a clue, so now I pray it was only ice and colored water. Does any one know if these are gf/cf? Or if any thing on those darn trucks are safe? We had a good day, and I was thrilled to see him trying to play, I never even imagined he would want ice cream truck things. Any way thanks in advace for all of your wonderfull answers. Oh and I believe its good humor products on the trucks. F
Guest guest
Sno Cone/Shave Ice syrups are usually corn syrup, natural & artificial flavoring, artificial coloring, and preservatives. Oh well, at least they are gfcf! Same stuff is in some (most?) popsicles. The ice cream truck might carry 100% fruitsicles. We have a shave ice machine & have tried mixing corn or sorghum syrup with fruit concentrate. (Haven't tried agave nectar.) Tastes good, looks funny. Also, pure maple syrup - yum. Reminds me of real snow balls & syrup in my youth. Sno cones saved the day during the gfcf transition, but the articial colors & flavors are a problem for us now. Congratulations on a fun day at the park! > Yep its me again, just wondering about gf/cf and the ice cream truck.... So of course I caved > in I opted for the sno cone.
