Guest guest
Lori, Good to hear how things went for you at the neonatologist's! Like you, I am surprised at her answers about the PTU, but glad she is cooperative with your input. Sounds like you are doing great! I am wondering if a neonatologist is different than a high-risk OB? If so, what is their role? (Considering pregnancy, but last labs were hypO -- this makes me afraid to try yet.) Guest guest
Hi - Hi - High risk OBs are called perinatalogists. Since Lori mentioned that there was a team of doctors working with her maybe the neonatalogist (newborn doctor) was consulted to determine the risk of taking ATDs on her baby. Perinatalogists concentrate on both the mother and the baby and might not be as current on the risks to a newborn as a neonatalogist is. Take care, dx & RAI 1987 (at age 24) > Lori, > Good to hear how things went for you at the neonatologist's!
