Guest guest
Hi Everyone, It's been a long, long time since I've posted here. Hope you are all well..! I was just watching CNN and wanted to share a little newsbit from the Health segment (Dr. Sanjay Gupta). In a nutshell, a study with alzheimer's patients (who have low appetites) showed that appetite increased 25% when the food was placed on plates/cups/bowls with the following, bright, high-contrast colors: YELLOW, RED, ORANGE. However, food placed on low-contrast, pastel colors such as BLUE ate less. Also, appetite increased if many different types of foods were offered, versus a lot of one type of food. (This is commonly known. That is why buffet tables are hard for people on diets. Humans like to " graze " over many different foods, rather than getting the same amount of calories from one food). So, food for thought!!! Katy
