Guest guest
Rifat, My son Max is 16 years old. He has RSS. He still has a g-tube, but we only have to use it when he is sick. For most of his life from birth until about age 8 he was fed mainly using the g-tube. But we had a great speech therapist who worked on him with oral sensitivity, so he was interested in at least tasting food. It took years to get him to where he would eat enough during the day, but eventually he did do it. One good thing about the feeding tube is that it takes the pressure off of you to force her to eat. You can offer her food to taste, but you don't have to worry about her getting enough. As time goes on and she is more aware of others eating around her, she will take more of an interest. But I do think you should try a speech therapist, if you have them in Turkey, to help her oral aversion to food. My sister-in-law lived in Turkey for a few years. She and my brother go back there every two years to visit the family she lived with and to tour the country. They love it there. If there are questions about Deniz that I can pass on to her, then please let me know. She may be able to tell me where you can go for more help.
