Guest guest
Sheryl:-) You will need to talk to your dietician on how to get the nutrients in and still reduce weight. It is good to start with increasing activity and that will depend on how old your child is and what they can and can not do. You will still want some fats in the diet but maybe with examination you can trade out some fats for protein. Your dietician will know and Dr H could give you a direction to start in. To answer this question you would need a good analysis of activity and what is being consumed. Ask Dr H at the convention if your child seems too fat. She has a great eye for that. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Sheryl, If I remember correctly Dalia is still under one year of age, isn't she??? As far as I know, weight loss is never recommended for infants. Instead you would keep her at the same level of calories, and allow her to grow into her weight. And fat are essential for brain development under the age of two. Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 30 months, 21.4#, 30.6 " , G-Tube)
Guest guest
Sheryl, didn't crawl until after he walked, and he didn't walk until he was 21 months of age. Gross motor delays are not unusual for our kids. Don't worry about her weight right now. She's doing really well! And I'm pretty sure that at 8 months of age, Dr H will only suggest that she grow into her weight, not to actually lose any. The convention is only a week away, and it will be here before you know it! You're doing GREAT!! She'll be fine until the convention. I just wouldn't make any major changes before that. Hugs to you all! Pat (g-ma to , RSS, 30 months, 21.4#, 30.6 " , G-Tube)
