Guest guest
Hi everyone, Thanks for all your wonderful advice. Janet ( my wife) is begining to understand that she needs to play 's (age 7 ) games and not try to get him to do her things. We have already seen some positive ( well I think its positive) results. likes this cartoon called Teen Titans. The heros are all teenagers with super powers ( every parents nightmare ). So likes to play Teen Titan attack in which he shoots fireballs and attempts to use judo and karate to knock us to the ground. The other game he likes he calls " Hot Lava " . He gets this from several of his cartoon movies in which volcanos errupt and hot lava goes everywhere. So pretends he is hot lava and crawls all over us pretending to set us on fire. This is his form of cuddling because he sits or stands in our lap and trys to smother us and mess up our hair. Janet does not like these games because she ends up getting bruised. I tell her well at least she has some color in her skin besides white. Anyway, is happy, mostly because I am home everyday and now he can jump on his mother and say " I'm just cuddling -- HOT LAVA ATTACK!! " . He still won't admit to liking his mom any better but last night he sat in her lap for 45 minutes while they read together. Of course, this was immediately followed by several rounds of " Hot Lava " and " Teen Titans Attack " . Thanks for your help. Ken M
