Guest guest
Hey Jodi I never knew you prepared Max's syringes in advance. What did you use to store the needles in the fridge? I'm guessing you took off the large plastic cap that is over the plunger part. Then you'd take off the cap on the needle end, fill it, and then put the needle cap back on. Is that what you did? I love this idea. I'm toying with how to transport needles like that. Adam is actually going on an over night trip with his class in February (I think it's Feb. I haven't gotten any literature yet on it) and I think they are gone for 3 nights. I am thinking of sending the needles, I would just skip the injections but when he has a weekend at his dad's on either end of this trip, he will be missing quite a few shots. Just thinking about it right now, I don't know what the school's rules are on this, but Adam can give his own shot, I just don't want anyone but me preparing the needle. Mom knows best eh?\ Tell me what you used to store the needles in the fridge though, because I tell you I hate that time of the night. Just one more thing to do before I can go to bed. And the worst???? Realizing it's late, I am tired and that will be the night I need to make up a new vial too! UGH!! Guest guest
Debby, I used to put the syringes in some sort of plastic container that I found at the dollar store or someplace like that. But we also have a travel bag that we were given when Max first started gh, so when we go places, there is a place in there for the syringes. If Adam is going on this trip, you may need a doctor's note stating that it is okay for Adam to give himself the shots - and that he takes the shots for growth. I know I would need a note like that here in the US. Especially if it is school-related. Don't know if I helped, but I hope I did!
