Just today, we drove an hr > yhen We do not qualify for SSI either and my husband is in the US air force!! :-( [we probably have less money... :-) ] And we are down the hard path of getting some fundings because we can't afford the therapy otherwise. But the feat list serv will help for the therapists (or tutors) issue, and also you can ask nearby universities or colleges to post out an ad for you-you should go there yourself and post it in the cafeteria and " strategic places " where the kids would see it-. Also, some colleges do an 'exchange' services where the students will earn college credits for working with your child-then they can't get paid- but you have to work it out with the professors at the colleges. Either way college students are maybe the best choice, because you can " make them adapt to your child " more that a trained therapist would be, and you pay them less because they have no experience (from $ 7.00/hr up-DDD pays $ 7.18/hr) Good luck.Cristina-WA
