Guest guest
Melinda I asked the same thing about 2 weeks ago. No one provided any bug repellant answers but I did get a good suggestion of using skeeter stik post biting help. I haven't been able to find it yet. Plus Aloe really speeds the healing. We had a flood in Houston and ants and mosquitos are terrible. What I am doing now is avoiding if possible exposing the kids in the early morning around 7 and at dusk around 8 at night. High mosquito time. I use Skins so Soft from Avon ( it has citronella- which is suppose to be natural) but it has mixed results as far as protecting them. I also understand stinky feet is a bug attractant- (beleive it or not) The best Bug repellant has DEET but DEET can be dangerous for even for NT folks- let allow a child and a child who may have trouble metabolizing foods, dyes, drugs etc. Hope that helps and if any one else has info-please share Jeneane, Houston Nick NT (5) Sam 3 (PDD-Nos) Beth 2 (NT)
Guest guest
I found Bert's Bees at a HFS. It works, but needs reapplying more often than the DEET sprays. Smells great, too. Sorry, don't have a web address, but I know I easily found it once through a search. Also, just found at HFS - Buzz Away by Nature's Solutions: citronella Oil, eucalyptus, lemongrass & peppermint. www.quantumhealth.com. Haven't tried it yet. > Someone posted that Bert's Bees insect repellant is gf/cf and contains no > deet. I have no idea where you'd get it though. Green Ban insect repellant > is also gf/cf.
