Guest guest
Hi, My aunt did get the t3 test and it was determined that it is low,Her endo said this means she needs more synthroid and that armour is only used when you are hyper, she is more confused than ever now.....?? Hi Jen, It sounds like she's hypothyroid since she has hair loss and probably inflammation of her thyroid stump. Some hypothyroid symptoms are very similar to hyper ones including insomnia and palpitations. It could also be that her T4 is high but she's not converting and has very little T3. She should make sure that her doctor is testing FT4 and FT3 so that she can get on the right type of med as well as the right dose. This happened to me while I was on Synthroid. I now use Armour, which has both T4 and T3. Hope this helps, Elaine
