Hi ,

My endo, who's from Argentina, has called my thyroid " juicy " and " meaty " (makes

me feel like dinner!). I think she means it's swollen; she says it's smaller

than on diagnosis last year, though.

I don't see a goiter but do feel the crowding in my throat. My endo checks by

watching me swallow a sip of water and palpates only gently. My GP recently

grabbed my thyroid and insisted she needed to palpate it panfully to feel it;

made me worry about worsening my symptoms, which I read can happen. I'll have to

show her the water swallowing trick next time.

I guess a " full " thyroid might be better than an " empty " one!

Best wishes,
