Birth Announcement

Gaven Kendall was born at 12:10 am on July 4th, weighing 6lbs 4oz and

measuring 19 inches long. He's a perfectly healthy little boy with normal

thyroid levels and no signs of goiter. We managed to avoid a medical induction

by

using acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and a membrane sweep. It was a long, hard

labor, but the hospital staff was very respectful of my wishes for a natural

birth. The nurse wheeled in a full length mirror so I was able to see the

birth. was incredibly supportive, knowing exactly what I needed to

hear,

physically supporting me through every contraction, and fully participating in

our son's birth. After 31 hours of labor, I finally pushed Gaven out and

pulled him onto my chest in a flood of joy. It was truly an amazing birth

experience that and I will forever treasure. Thanks so much to everyone

for

all the positive energy. We could not have imagined a more wonderful

experience.
