Guest guest
Hi everyone, Quite a few new people have joined the list recently so I thought I would highlight the features of the RSS-Support web page. First, the web page is located at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RSS- Support Located on the left side of your computer screen are the following page links Messages Post Chat Files Photos Bookmarks Database Polls Members Calendar If you click on the Messages link, it takes you to a list of the most recent messages. Here you can look at just about every message posted from the first to the last. Next is the Post link. Click on this to enter and send a new message The next function is the Chat function. Click on this and it brings you to the Chat room. It can be used anytime without invitation. Sometimes I schedule a chat but so far it hasn't been used much. The next link is the Files area. It contains a few file folders. There is a folder for photos. There is a folder of stories from members. There is a folder containg some resource documents. These could be very helpful. Next is the Photo section. Please put new photos in albums. Also, if you decide to leave please delete your photo's. When you use this area, first create an album and then upload your photo to your album. Otherwise the area will become quite cluttered making it difficult to identify who belongs to who. The next section is a Link section. This area is used to store web links to medical databases for doing research. It also contains links to some organizations such as the Magic Foundation and others. The next section is sort of a catch all section. It is the Database section. It contains an FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) file. I have entered a few questions and answers but this is still a work in progress. This section also contains a recipe book of some high calorie recipes ( milkshakes etc). If you have some, please add them here. Also, there is a contact list, please add your name ( if you want) The next area is Polls. Here you can read the results of simple polls that were conducted or are in progress. At the moment, there no polls in progress. The last area is a calendar function. No explanation needed here. In addtion to the functions, there are some options you can set. In the upper right hand corner of the screen you can click on " Edit my Membership " . Here you can select how you want to receive messages. Your choices are, individual e-mail, daily digest ( a brief summary of the days messages), Special Announcement ( the same as web only but special ntices are sent as individual e-mail), and Web Only ( no e-mail is sent, you must visit the web site). There are a couple of other options relating to mail format. The last item in this section allows you to add or change your e-mail address. The final section also in the upper right hand corner is the " My preferences section " Here you can select the number of messages displayed on a page, check your bounce history, or decide if you want to be invited to other groups. This section is rarely used.
