Hi Ron and ,

What I neglected to mention about the article was the researchers' point that

stress reduction can make us healthier. In terms of their study, exercise,

eating and sleeping well, and refraining from smoking decreased levels of the

presumably harmful chemical. I'm certain yoga and a host of other energy and

relaxation techniques would work as well.

My endocrinologist, who's quite savvy, told me Graves' was caused by stress.

However, I clearly helped it along by taking kelp supplements, which have lots

of iodine, not to mention my allergic reaction to an iodine contrast dye

injection years ago.
