Guest guest
Hi , It's normal to see a change in 4-5 weeks after an ATD change. You likely were headed toward hypo on the dose that you were on. The recommended reference range for TSH is 0.3-3.04, and TSH rises before thyroid hormone levels become abnormally low. If you still have hypo symptoms you could probably manage another ATD dose. Take care, Elaine
Guest guest
- When it comes to TSH levels, I've found that _anything_ seems possible. I've had mine drop from 1.4 to 0.78 in 10 DAYS. I'd say it's certainly possible to drop that much in 5 weeks. Also, remember that TSH lags about 6 weeks behind the T3 and T4. So the TSH you're looking at is really where you were 6 weeks ago. And small changes in FT4 causes much larger changes in values for TSH (does that make sense?) I went back and looked for your last labs and I believe your last FT4 was 1.1. You went up a little bit in FT4 (not a significant change) so it seems reasonable that there has been a corresponding dip in TSH. You're moving up from a lower end level, so it doesn't appear you're going hypo. Did your doctor make a dosage change based on the labs in May? If so, these new values may be reflecting that dosage change. How are you feeling? Do you feel better than you did in May?
