What seems confusing is that your T3 was still high at the last lab, even though your FT4 was on the low end of normal. As I understand it, the T3 is the more critical number (and it would be far better if they would run Free T3, as that is what's actually available to your system. Are you also taking a beta blocker (for heart symptoms)? Some of those can slow the conversion of T4 to T3, which might help. My guess is tht you could go a few more weeks to see if your T3 comes down. Here's another twist--PTU is most effective when taken in three daily doses rather than two. I would recommend that--but then you may want to get new labs even sooner. I put Elaine's name in the tag line and hopefully she can comment on your " mixed " labs. Best wishes, B.
