Guest guest
My question is... What areas do you consider when your child has what appears to be an unexplained set back in verbal skills. My daughter is 10 and finally conquered her r's about 6 months ago. She has motor planning challenges so may ask " How is he the old? " instead of " How old is he? " I have come to realize that when the following happens, she struggles even more: 1. Lack of sleep 2. Change in diet 3. Anxiety 4. Sick This week- none in the list above happened that I'm aware of and she is struggling more than ever. Yesterday she couldn't get out the word " Good " . She was saying " Gruuu " and " That is hard to say " . I have also noticed she is forgetting to say the topic of what she wants to communicate. She also at times is repeating herself over and over. What other areas do you all look for to explain regression? Thank you- Gisele
