If you're prescribed steroids for GO and stop taking them the symptoms often become worse. This is because steroids suppress your immune system. When you stop taking them there's a rebound effect on congestive GO with symptoms worsening. If you're taking a low dose of steroids for asthma or respiratory disorders and do not have congestive GO you shouldn't notice any difference.
