Guest guest
Terry, Barb is on Tap for just over a month, plus she was on PTU for about 2 months before switching. Barb, The timing IS exactly right and those certainly are hypo numbers for any hyper person I have ever met. We need to be in the upper part of the range, or at least in the middle. For that matter, you are tougher than I am. By .86 ? was it ? , I am in really bad shape. The good news is THAT number will be very easy to show any knowledgeable doctor ( with no motive to keep you sick and hope you beg for RAI ), since the majority of us feel the same way you do at the lower FT4. So this should not get complicated for you. I have this one thing saved... I'm looking for it....geez, I REALLY need to organize these bookmarks! found it... ************************ Medical journal article which gives good argument that we all have individual, natural " set points " for thyroid hormones...thus we may test within the laboratory reference range and still NOT be within our own individual natural " set point " . http://www ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=11889165 & dopt=Abstract ************* http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=11889165 & dopt=Abstract -Pam L - 3 1/2 years Graves', TED, and PTU. Remission due to SLOW reduction of PTU (despite an incompetent endo ! ), improved lifestyle, excellent nutrition, herbs, and looking at the big picture. Pills alone only help the symptoms. We must help our bodies to heal.
