Guest guest
Thanks - It's really hard not to analyze every little symptom but thanks for the reminder that these fluctuations can be normal while our bodies are trying to stabilize - I keep forgetting that. I'll try not to worry unless the labs say to. And that the hair thing is normal-ish. All I can say is it's a good thing I had lots of hair to start with. And it does seem to be getting a little less the past few days so maybe that is a good trend too. I'm not sure I would have any hair left if this continued for 6-8 months though! Two things I'm thinking of - one: I was feeling really kind of hypo and then I thought, well, hey, there is almost no iodine in my diet, maybe I should add some in - so I tried some turkey sandwich meat (which was bad for me when I was hyper) and started adding a little more sea salt to my foods - and that made me feel really hyper again for a couple of days, so maybe it was just too much too soon. The other thing is that I worked my first full-time week last week - I work at home - in addition to being a stay-at-home mom to a busy 2 1/2 year old - and that was really too much - and too much like my old work-a-holic habits too - perhaps this little hyper phase was a sign to knock that off. So yes, I need to find what works for me - work-wise and food-wise - and see if that can keep my labs in normal range. And next time I get labs it will be on a day that I'm feeling really good (I hope) and not two days after I load up on iodine. Thanks again Pam B.
