Guest guest
I have a 3 year girl on the spectrum. I had became pregnant again before we truly knew anything about the diaganosis and . Although we had our suspicions at the time. I have been told by some other " experts " that girls may express autism differently. We have been fortunate not to have the the frequent stim behavior or sleep trouble. In addition we have some nice play skills, language, and social skills but they are not age appropriate. Beth our third child ( a surprise) and our second daughter has been a blessing. I think her development pushes Sam to go the next step. They are much like twins. Bethie is chronologically 2 and Sam has been assessed as the developmental age of 2. It someways it is a healthy competition. Needless to say it makes family life a little chaotic. I do feel that Sam being " sandwiched " between older brother Nick (5) and younger sib Beth help stimulate her. If I had to do it over- I don't know that I'd plan it that way but as we all know the good Lord moves in mysterious ways. Good Luck to you Jeneane, Houston Nick NT-5 PDD-Nos (3) Beth NT-
