Guest guest
Hi Del, I have joined and never really gotten involved in the group. I am having some problems to get in here. I tried once like crazy and got my letters back, so I am responding personally and to the group. The reason your letter intrusted me, is that problems you might face being a Man. Since I have gone through the worst time and basically had my life destroyed by this disease, I have empathy for your ride. I did not know what a thyroid was when I was misdiagnosed as hyper, and it screwed up my whole system up. The thyroid runs the show and if that is messed up, a lot of thing can and will go wrong, if not handled right, like in my case. I am glad that he took one test of the your pituitary hormones and maybe he will take more later if your testosterone are abnormal. The breast is part of the pituitary gland, so naturally I would say that you can have breast lumps and it should be checked. Man can have the same problems women do, but it is less likely, so you need a doctor that takes this seriously. You are on the right track, you have gotten a diagnose for graves, another disease basically affecting women, so I have hopes for you. Does this disease run in your family? Have your doctor determent how you got this disease? Good luck to you and educate yourself, so you can take control over you health. It is to important to leave in all up to the docs. I tried to forward a letter I wrote to my doctor, that sums up what I have gone through, can't you do that here, is that why I had problems? Hope to hear from you, Yvonne
