Guest guest
, Sounds like you are undermedicated to me. Are you on Synthroid? What dose? You should be having FreeT3 and FreeT4 tests run, not the totals. Your TSH should be kept between 1-2 and your FreeTs should be in the upper 1/3....or should I say that most people feel best at these levels. Do you keep a record of your labwork results for yourself? You need to, and you need to learn how to interpret them so you can find *your* set point. What are your most recent lab results? With the symptoms you are having, you could be told you have arthritis, fibromyalgia, meniere's disease.....and it is quite possible that you could have these autoimmune disorders since you already have one autoimmune disorder. (I am assuming that you have Hashimotos thyroiditis?) However, more than likely, you are in hypohell and either need more thyroid hormone replacement or need to switch to Armour or add some Cytomel to your synthroid. Finding a better doctor who is up on the current thyroid treatment sounds like a good idea to me too. Have you been to Shomon's site? Good place for hypos, although I am hypo and hang out here and at Mediboard. (I was originally hypo and then went into Graves.) Here is a link to 's place....lots of pop ups so if you have pop up contol, you will want to use it: http://forums.about.com/n/main.asp?webtag=ab-thyroid & msg=11222.1 Please get the book Thyroid for Dummies by Alan Rubin and The Thyroid Solution by Ridha Arem. Guest guest
Terry, I drink carbonated water. No soda's, no coffee's, no sugar substitute. But I thank you for your response. Any suggestions at this point, is worth more then what I'm receiving from my doctors who are also trying to figure me out. Tomorrow...MRI testing. God Bless, Hi , I'm hoping you get some thyroid test numbers to share. And I am very curious about one thing: are you a diet soda drinker/aspartame user? If you are, you could simply be poisoning yourself. Your symptoms sound similar to others I have heard of who have this problem. You can look it up online, if it's relevant to you. Guest guest
Hi , Well, it was worth a try. I still hope you can share some thyroid numbers, ft4 and ft3 especially. You do sound hypO, and there are an awful lot of symptoms that occur when hypo! Good luck on your MRI, I know how awful headaches are, as I have suffered with migraines all my life. The good news (for me) is that they've lessened in quantity and severity after menopause. I also had an MRI at one point when they were at their worst.
