Angry about doctors pushing for RAI

Clear DayI just wanted to check in with you all and say hello. I'm constantly

reading your emails and postings and appreciate all of your help. I am so glad

I found this group and was awakened to the reality that doctors really can't

always be trusted. I took to Riley hospital today and was taken aback

when they were just all assuming I was going to let them give her the RAI. They

started telling me that her appointment would last around 3-4 hours tomorrow and

that they had already been preparing to have the RAI there and told me NOTHING

about any other treatment option. We have 's thyroid scanned tomorrow,

today she just took a low dose of iodine so her thyroid could be scanned

tomorrow. I'll be sure to post again sometime in the afternoon tomorrow to let

everyone know what we find out. I told the woman to not even go any further

with the preparations for the RAI treatment tomorrow because I was DEFINITELY

not going to consider that option at this present time. She still asked if she

could at least give me some information about it. WHY are they trying to push

this treatment option on people instead of telling them about the other options?

Why are they saying it is safe? Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, IN is suppose

to be one of the best! I just don't understand how they could do that and still

sleep at night.

Anyway, thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers everyone!
