Guest guest
Yes, a conventional doctor can order this. This is for the " lucky " conventional celiac disease. Our Pediatric Gastroenterologist ordered it a year ago for my son. She was smart and knew what to do. I asked our regular pediatrician to write the order for my daughter. He had no clue what tests to order for celiac, so I told him, and also reminded him that my son had the same tests one year ago. So I think he pulled my son's chart, saw what he had, and wrote the prescription for me to take to the lab. They also did a CBC, ESR, and a CRP. These I didn't and still don't feel were so necessary (if they have a hard time getting the blood, I would eliminate these first), but the regular ped. said to go ahead and do these since she hasn't had them before - kind of like - " while your getting the blood " . , I have a sister with schizophrenia Blake's mom, 5.10, encephalopathy 's mom, 2.9 skinny, not celiac, but gaining on diet. > > << I would suggest doing bloodwork for anti-tissue transglutaminase and > a Total IgA.
