Here is one that posted

I've never actually tried making it gluten-free, but if you want to

give

it a try, here's the recipe:

Play Dough

1c. flour (or maybe a blend of gf flours)

1c. water

2tsp. cream of tartar

1/4c. salt

1T oil

food coloring (optional)

Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized pot. Cook on medium, stirring

constantly with a metal spoon. After about 5min. the dough will become

harder to stir and will gather on the spoon. Dump onto waxed paper and

allow to cool somewhat. Knead about 10 times until smooth. Store cooled

play dough in a tighly sealed container. (I always store home-made play

dough in the fridge, but I don't know if it's necessary).

I also have a recipe for " Slurch " . It doesn't hold a shape like play

dough, but kids love it.

1 C. cornstarch or arrowroot powder

1/2 C. water

food coloring (optional)

Combine ingredients in a plastic tub (this is probably best used in

the

bathtub or outside).

And then there's " Gloop " which is fun to pull.

4 oz. glue (there is gf glue, right?)

1 1/2 cups water

1 tsp. borax powder (found in with laundry soaps -- it's a perfectly

natural

substance)

food coloring (optional)

Pour the glue into an empty jar. Add 1/2 C. water and 10 drops of

food

coloring (if desired) and stir. Combine the borax and 1 C. of water in a

plastic bowl. Slowly pour the glue mixture into the borax mixture and

stir.

The borax causes the mixture to congeal. Scoop the gloop out of the

water

and knead it in your hands until it becomes dry enough to play with.

Store

in a sealed container. It will dry out after a lot of handling.
