Guest guest
Darn, I had hoped to catch her while she was still here. I posted only FOUR minutes after her question arrived . :-) So much for effeciency. Terry is absolutely correct Amy. The antibodies that cause us to be hyper, are also causing a FALSE TSH reading. You must dose on the FT4 and FT3 numbers, never the TSH. Many will have their TSH move sometime in the first year, but that is not true for another big group of us. I am the poster child for this one. My TSH did not go over .02 for three years. Thank goodness they did NOT dose me on that info. I was euthyroid AND hypo during that time. -Pam L- 3 1/2 years Graves', TED, and PTU. Remission due to SLOW reduction of PTU (despite an incompetent endo ! ), improved lifestyle, excellent nutrition, herbs, and looking at the big picture. Pills alone only help the symptoms. We must help our bodies to heal.
