Guest guest Posted November 4, 2004 Report Share Posted November 4, 2004 Tracking simply means that you take where they are on the percentile growth chart and follow that percentile line out to age 18 and see where the child would be at age 18 if they stayed at that same percentile. Lupron is an intramuscular shot that postpones puberty. Medicine that is widely used with many other disorders such as precocious puberty, MAS, and others. Every 28 days I believe the shot has to be given. When you postpone puberty, but continue growth hormone, it allows the child to gain even more years of growing time. For many boys, this can be critical to gaining a height as close to their target height as possible.
