Guest guest
Regarding Creon. It is a prescription. Dr. Kartzinel has prescribed it for both of my children because of SPECIFIC test results regarding my kids digestion that were part of the the investigative testing he did at the beginning of our treatment (not the gluten/casein peptide test). It was NOT prescribed as a general enzyme for the gluten/casein protein issue like some being discussed here. Our local pediatrician had no problem with our using it (she participated in our follow up conference and listened to why he thought they needed it). We've had positive results with it's use, most specifically improvement in mood swings. I have no idea if your child has the same issue, but please follow up with Dr. Kartzinel or Barb if it wasn't explained clearly to you why he recommended it. (If you are anything like us, we learned so much our heads were spinning!) By the way, we pay $5 a month for the creon through our prescription plan. No offense to anyone else who was trying to help, I just think that the 1st thing to do is to get clarification why the creon was prescribed. Best to everyone!
