I hope you both can hang in there and eventually get to the point where she will appreciate your devotion to her and your relationship. What about speaking to your wife's gynecologist, as you say she plans to have him/her do some thyroid tests? Perhaps that's one person your wife will still listen to. If the gynecologist could convince her to stay on the PTU long enough to get her levels balanced (perhaps 3-4 weeks) she should be able to think more clearly. When I was most hyper, I had a tremendous need to be listened to, so if you can encourage your wife to " vent " and try to stay objective, that may help her realize you're on her side.
