Dr. H -- Appts, staffing

Marcy and everyone -

Katy and I are working on this situation to find out what to

communicate to all of us. I can tell you that with this move to Mt.

Sinai, although the waiting room is larger and the waits are

shorter, the bad news is that there is literally NO staffing for Dr.

Harbison. There is no nurse, or anyone to take phone calls or

return phone calls for labs, etc. This is unacceptable from my

perspective. We are investigating via MAGIC, on behalf of all of

our RSS/SGA families, as to what it will take to make changes in

support of Dr. Harbison. But to expect her to be able to see all

patients, and take all notes, print everything out, return all phone

calls, answer questions re labs, etc. -- there is NO way.

Also, the receptionist, Yadira (who has been with Dr. Neu and Dr.

Harbison for years) is in a DIFFERENT building than where Dr.

Harbison sees the patients. So Yadira can no longer " grab " Dr. H

and ask her a question. Yadira and Dr. H are able to meet

infrequently during the week to go over the " pile " of things that

have come in.

But this is what explains the problem with the delays. Katy and I

may have to come back and ask for " email signatures " if we need to

write a letter to Mt. Sinai on behalf of all of the families.
